Irreverent half-hour comedies
where the underdogs
OH NO, IT'S NANCE
An opinionated marketing exec with out-of-the-box ideas and an ass that just won’t quit (her words) struggles to keep her work family safe from heartless clients and a nefarious new hire.
When the haters in her small Southern town turn her twins birthday party into a disaster, a mild-mannered professional organizer sets out to clean up her own life one mess at a time.
After she accidentally nabs the top spot producing a popular reality show, an
idealistic actress battles conniving producers to change the crazy show – before it changes her.
Kyle Collins lives in New York City
and writes irreverent half-hour comedies about underdogs that bite back against what society expects from them and allows for them. The black sheep shine. The runts of the litter thrive. It’s a natural result, he thinks, when characters (or people!) embrace who they are and stop trying to fit into a dumb system that’s broken in the first place.
All he had to do to realize this for himself
was grow up gay in the conservative South, have a messy party phase, get sober, and gain access to his deep well of inner strength! Easy!
Kyle studied media at Mercer University in Georgia and playwriting at Oxford University in England before working as a journalist and marketing strategist. His half-hour comedy pilot, ORGANIZE THIS!, was a semi-finalist in the Outstanding Screenplays competition. At any given moment, he can give you detailed analysis of Jennifer Lopez’s latest career move or a rundown of the day’s TikTok drama.
